Montair Estates was created in 1983. The subdivision is governed by CC&Rs and bylaws. Montair Estates has 44 lots and currently (2025) 28 homes. The subdivision is surrounded by pasture lands and is located between Yreka and Montague on Highway 3. The HOA is responsible for the maintenance of the roads and waterwater system.
